Any time someone sees anything that sparkles, anything with glitter, they seem to think of me, even people who haven't known me very long. So I like to say that I am a "little bit of sparkle in an otherwise matte world." Here is where I post all the things that make me smile; that make me think; that I agree with; just all the things that give me my "sparkle."

Respect yourself.
Ladies, please respect yourselves. If you want guys to really treat you well, wallowing all over them with your friends acting like they are God's gift or just going ahead and giving them a piece of yourself is not the way. I watched that Party Down South show tonight, and it is tragic. The girls were all drunk and behaving like pure trash. It isn't cute. It isn't attractive. It isn't becoming. It is trashy. Pure trash. A guy will treat you the way you show him too. Disrespect yourself. He is going to disrespect you. Girl on the show tonight got wasted, had sex with a guy in the house after knowing him two days. HE WAS USING HER BODY FOR HIS PLEASURE! He didn't care about her. When she got up and left The room, he threw his fists in the air in conquest. Then she was too ashamed to tell people they had sex, even though the rest of the house SAW it happening. A physical relationship is a gift from God to show your spouse your love and dedication to them: their body, their soul, their heart, their spirit. Now I am not saying that you need to share details with the world. It is called a private life for a reason, but when you have a physical relationship with someone on should NEVER be in a way that it was to be a secret. One of my favorite movie quotes says, "There is nothing beautiful about climbing in a window at 2 in the morning." Basically this means if you have to keep your "affair" a secret, then it probably shouldn't be happening. Then you know what happened the next night, the first girl laid in her bed crying because her night before hook up was hooking up with another girl in the house. THE NEXT NIGHT. The she's crying talking about how he made her feel stupid. No, he didn't make her feel stupid. She made that choice. She decided to get in his bed and give this self proclaimed ladies man a part of herself she can never get back. Now I am not trying to take responsibility off the guy, he is trash too, but ladies, like it or not, we are the gatekeepers. Now you have to decide are you going to give a master key out to your gate to just anyone, or is your key going to be a one of a kind. And I can't even start on the girls the guys met at the bar and they just go back to their house and start hooking up with them after a few minutes. Ladies, we may be animals, but we are not wild animals. Control yourselves. Lust is powerful, but it gets you no where. It normally leaves you crying on the side of the bed calling yourself stupid. Girls who act like that are replaceable and interchangeable. Is that what you want to be? Interchangeable? A body to just make a guy feel good for a few minutes, or do you want to be the priceless, life changing princess your Heavenly Father, the King made you to be. He made you to be a diamond, an invaluable diamond for the man of your dreams, not some losers candy machine plastic ring that he could care less if it gets lost. I promise you If you don't respect your morals and soul and body, no guy will because you are advertising yourself as the quick sale not the prize.
